<< return to previous page Henk de Vries Financial/Commercial Director, De Vries Scheepsbouw Global Superyacht Forum 2008 Henk de Vries was born in Aalsmeer, The Netherlands, in 1958. After high school he studied business economics at the Free University in Amsterdam, following which he worked as business consultant in various sectors. He joined the family business and Feadship in 1987 as sales manager, and became director/shareholder in 1996. Together with cousin Tom he expanded the family business to its current size, with six operating companies and about 700 employees. De Vries still is a completely family-owned company and owns 50% of Feadship. The four current production lines are semi-standard 39m yachts, custom-built 40-75m yachts, custom Feadship XL yachts, and refit.
