<< return to previous page Fred Carr Legal Director, Aldar Marinas Gulf Superyacht Forum 2010 Gulf Superyacht Forum 2009 Fred Carr is a Project Director with Aldar Marinas. Fred comes to Aldar with nearly 30 years of diverse maritime experience. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marine Biology from Boston University and then spent the next three years offshore as a marine biologist, deckhand, engineer, mate and captain of fishing, yachting and commercial vessels up to 400 tons. Fred then became a deep sea diver where he enjoyed 7 years of mixed gas and saturation diving, and single man submarine operations. Fred earned a law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1991 and practiced maritime law for 17 years thereafter. Fred's legal career focused on risk management and casualty litigation.
