This truly innovative yacht will be undertaking her maiden voyage in June this year – which covers the first ever polar circumnavigation, beginning in Tahiti and continuing to the Antarctic, then to the Amazon, then to the Caribbean, Northern Europe, ending with the first luxury yacht transit of the Northeast Passage over Russia. well as giving general technical and political information, this
session aims to outline proposed solutions, through those working

14:30 – 16:00 Paper 11 - Technical paper - CoatingsWith so many new manufacturers and applicators entering the industry this session will call on the experience of members of the SYBAss coatings working group. The subject of applying paint is always a hot topic so this session will allow experienced shipyard representatives to discuss what real steps are being taken to make this happen and how this group is steering future development in this field. Global Superyacht Dinner18:00 – 22:30 Back by popular demand, we will be celebrating the 16th Global Superyacht Forum by taking delegates to Jamie Oliver’s 15 Restaurant for dinner. 15 is not a normal restaurant. Every September, Jamie Oliver gives 15-20 youngsters the opportunity to change their lives and learn the skills to become chefs. Each year the new group of apprentices begin their training. There will be transport from the RAI following the final session on Tuesday afternoon. There will also be transport from 15 restaurant returning to either Rembrandtplein (city centre) or the Amsterdam RAI. The restaurant is welcoming and modern and will create the perfect atmosphere for networking and relaxing with other key players in the industry. Jamie Oliver is well known for his uncomplicated yet tasty recipes, and so the food is guaranteed to be delicious! 16 Aug 2010 - New speakers at the Global Superyacht Forum - The Superyachtevents team is thrilled to announce the addition of some key industry players to the speaker line up at the Global Superyacht Forum, 15-17 November 2010.
Barry Gilmour, Chairman & Chief Executive, Royale Oceanic Ltd and Andy Williams, Owner, Williams Yacht Services will be addressing the issue of valuations - the problems, the future and what possible solutions they are proposing. What effect will these have on the industry and is there a watertight formula?
Alessandro Gallifuoco, Quality Manager, Benetti will be joining the technical paper focusing on coatings – as a member of the SYBAss coatings working group he will be discussing what steps are being taken to steer the future developments in this field.

We are thrilled to welcome Richard Beattie, owner of the 45 metre M/Y
Big Fish, recently delivered by McMullen & Wing, as our keynote speaker at this year's
Global Superyacht Forum. Presenting the yacht, the business plan behind it, and his position as a superyacht owner, Beattie will take to the stage on the first day of the event, Monday 15 November when the yacht is en route to Patagonia, on her round-the-world Polar Circumnavigation maiden voyage. Richard Beattie is a British-born Australian with permanent residence in Hong Kong. Big Fish is his second large yacht. Beattie, who has also chartered frequently, is the owner of The Continuity Company (TCC), a global marketing and retail incentive company with offices in 14 countries. Married and the father of a 10-year-old son, Beattie is an avid diver and explorer who prefers yachting in remote areas of the world, particularly in the Pacific, where Big Fish will be based after her maiden polar circumnavigation voyage, which will include personal and charter use in both Antarctica in Jan/Feb of 2011, and the first-ever yacht transit of the Northeast Passage in Aug/Sept of 2011.
